Pagani Zonda restoration scheme launched

Pagani Rinascimento offers owners who have the cash the option of restoring their Zonda hypercars to original condition

Pagani has announced a new restoration programme for owners looking to return their Zondas to factory fresh form. Titled Pagani Rinascimento, the newly introduced service offers Pagani Zonda owners the opportunity to put their pride and joy back into factory fettle.

The process will involve a team of highly skilled craftsman, dedicated to one car, checking every detail of the rebuild and restoration process. Nothing less than you'd expect of the niche Italian manufacturer. The car will return to the owner with a Rinsnascmetino Book complete with images and drawings documenting the restoration.

Customers who opt into the programme will see their cars shipped back to the Pagani Atelier in Modena, Italy. Company founder and owner, Horacio Pagani, hopes to recreate the initial excitement of the ownership experience. ‘To bring back the light and the original splendor of these masterpieces, is a pleasure as well as a great responsibility. Our customers rely on us because we are the only ones in the world capable of rebuilding and restoring Paganis as they came out of our Atelier. We want to give our customers the emotion to be thrilled as the first time.‘

Despite Zonda’s infant state as a car manufacturer, it’s established itself amongst supercar and hypercar royalty since the first C12 debuted at the Geneva motor show in 1999. Since then, the Zonda platform has sprouted numerous versions and special editions carrying the model forward. Despite the Huayra having now arrived as the Zonda’s replacement, a few more Zondas continue to emerge from the Pagani factory.

The Zonda’s naturally-aspirated Mercedes-Benz V12 remains an iconic performance engine. Free of turbos, unlike the Huayra’s twin turbo version, it spins to 8000rpm kicking out 749bhp and a Le Mans-style soundtrack - particularly in 760RS guise.

There’s no word on pricing for the Pagani Rinascimento service but whatever the cost, it’s unlikely to deter plenty of Zonda owners from taking advantage.
